We’ll also look at some free add-ons that can boost PowerPoint’s design and presentation capabilities.

Overview:

This presentation will demonstrate how to build an Agile Schedule that may be used for development-type projects.

We will also address actual project issues attendees are trying to resolve at work using Microsoft Project as well as MSP tips and tricks.

Learning Objectives:

During this event, you will learn How to create an Agile Schedule.  By addressing problems you may be having with a Microsoft Project file you will learn how to debug a schedule and tips to make you more productive in managing your project.

Topic: Leveraging Lessons Learned to Improve Project Results

Event Description:

        Have you collected lessons learned at the end of a difficult project? Did your organization leverage those lessons, so that great practices are always repeated, and poor practices never repeated?

        In this presentation, Lynn will share his observations from many “Years in the Trenches” of managing projects. He will touch on what seems to work, what doesn’t, and best practices,  as well as which lessons are being used and which are not frequently used. Some items covered will include what went well, what went poorly, repositories for lessons, examples of best practices, categories of lessons.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to...

        Describe what seems to work, what doesn’t, what are best practices.

        Name the major categories of lessons.

        Give some examples of lessons learned.

        Capture lessons and integrate lessons into their organization.

        Improve future performance based on lessons learned.
