Come and network, pick up a tip or two, and have some coffee and bagels with us!
SYNOPSIS
Our AM on PM (morning on project managment) breakfast events occur each month, the second Friday of the month. The topic is based on PSA's monthly theme, which is one of the nine Knowledge Areas in the PMBOK. We will be there to network with you and to facilitate an interactive discussion on our monthly topic.
Speaker: Stacy Munechika, PMP, Engineering Program Manager at Eastman Kodak Co.
The Fault in Our Starts
Why estimating project task duration is insanely difficult, and how to improve it. Is you project late before it starts? If you feel like your best chance for creating accurate project task-duration estimates is to use a “fudge-factor” multiplier, then this AM on PM session is for you!
In this presentation you’ll learn some weird, but universal reasons why we consistently underestimate task duration. We’ll also discuss weaknesses in common project management scheduling methods that invariably lead to late projects.
Come join us for this fun and informative presentation and learn how to improve your estimates and avoid “the fault in our starts”
We hope to see you Friday, November 14th, for our next AM on PM Breakfast Forum
